New Fraud Scam Alert - 3/5/25

Please be aware of increased telephone and texting scams where individuals are receiving calls and/or texts that claim to be from your financial institution.  Unfortunately, they are utilizing spoofing technology to appear to be calling from a legitimate bank number.

Once they have the individual on the phone, they are requesting specific user online banking credentials.  Austin Bank representatives will NEVER ask for your online banking credentials.  Please NEVER give out these credentials via phone, email, text or any other means.

Should you receive a call from someone claiming to be from the bank's Fraud Department or Customer Service asking you for login credentials, please hang up, call the bank at 1-800-644-9275 (Customer Care), and ask to speak to an employee in the Fraud Department.  We can then check to ensure your accounts are protected and nothing has been compromised.

As a reminder, NEVER provide sensitive information to unsolicited calls or texts.  This information includes online banking credentials, account numbers, debit card PINs, or personally identifiable information.

Please share this information with anyone who may have online banking access for your accounts.  The security of our customers is a priority for Austin Bank.  We believe the more you know, the better prepared you will be to recognize and prevent fraudulent activity.
