October 2024 - Star of the Month - Morgan Miller

While vocal and outgoing employees often receive praise for taking charge, there is also great value in the more reserved ones. These individuals are often attentive listeners, observant, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This month’s Star may have a more low-key personality, but she has proven her commitment and exceptional performance to both customers and coworkers.  We are excited to introduce you to our October Star of the Month, Morgan Miller, Customer Service Representative in Palestine.

Morgan joined the Austin Bank team in Palestine in May 2020 as a teller.  She expressed interest in the customer service representative position in 2021 and began cross training so she would be better prepared when a position or opportunity presented itself.  In August 2022, she was promoted to her current position and takes pride in her role.  Morgan is a self-starter, always seeking ways to help others on her team and willing to see a job through to completion.  During a recent staffing shortage, she volunteered to support the Palestine drive thru location, pulling from her previous experience as a teller.  Her passion and dedication to the bank shines through every task she tackles.  She boosts morale in the office with her bright smile and positive attitude.

A recent letter from a new Austin Bank customer shared that “Morgan has done everything humanly possible to help us make a smooth transition from one bank to another.”  They went on to state, “This lady has amazed me at her dedication to the bank and the many things she does to make a customer feel at home, and at all times, very professional.”

Morgan and her husband, Daniel, live in Palestine with their Pit Bull daughter, Lexi.  Though spending time with her family is a favorite pastime, she also enjoys doing bead work, camping, playing golf and watching the Texas Rangers.  The family attends Calvary Christian Center in Palestine.

“Morgan has a quiet personality, but is friendly and personable as she visits with her customers, setting them at ease and helping direct them to the products and services that best fit their needs.  She is very sharp and retains new information quickly.  She is definitely the ‘go-to’ person for me when I need to get something done on the retail side for a customer.”

Brad Anderson, Senior Vice President/Location President, Palestine

“Going above and beyond is normal for Morgan.  She is extremely caring and hard working.  She is a true asset to our team in Palestine and I am excited to see her grow professionally in the years to come.”

Jenny Huddleston, Vice President/Retail Office Manager, Palestine

“Morgan plays a vital role in the Palestine office.  She steps up to fill in for others and does any task that is asked of her with a smile and positive attitude.  She is a pleasure to work with and we are lucky to have her as part of our Austin Bank team.”

Misty Evans, Senior Vice President/Retail Market Manager, Frankston
