Employees who demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude towards contributing to the company beyond their defined roles are an asset. These individuals are willing to support teammates by taking on additional tasks when needed, even if it means stepping outside their usual responsibilities. And, they see tasks outside their job description as opportunities to learn new skills and develop professionally. Our December Star of the Month is one of these individuals, and we are honored to recognize Cyndy Caporali, Customer Service Representative in our Longview Pine Tree office.
Cyndy joined the Austin Bank team in 2019 as a teller in Pine Tree. Seeking new opportunities, she moved to the bank’s Special Assets and Loan Operations departments as an administrative assistant working from the Longview Greggton location. Having recently moved back to the Pine Tree office, Cyndy assumed her current role earlier this year and has been welcomed back with open arms from the customer base there. During her time at the Greggton office, Cyndy took on additional roles and responsibilities to assist department leadership in a time of growth. A quiet worker, Cyndy completes assignments quickly and efficiently, taking pride in her tasks and always giving her best effort. Her work ethic inspires others as she doesn’t just show up to ‘do the job’, but to ask questions and seek to help the whole team. Shannon Seay, Senior Vice President/Loan Servicing and Special Assets Manager, shares, “Cyndy is a model employee. She is smart, confident, and dedicated. She is eager to learn and never shies away from a challenge. The desire to grow in her leadership, knowledge, and in the banking industry is clearly shown in her strong work ethic.”
On her first day back with the customers in Pine Tree, Cyndy immediately sprang back into action as though she’d never left. Regular customers recognized her and were happy to have her back. Bilingual, Cyndy is an excellent communicator and very patient with customers. She takes time to explain situations in a manner that makes them feel comfortable, even recently receiving flowers from two different customers because of her caring and friendly attitude.
Cyndy and her husband, Edgar Sanchez, live in Longview with their rescue cat, Neptune. She is a graduate of Center High School. Outside of the bank, Cyndy enjoys cooking and spending time with family or friends.
“Cyndy is a ray of sunshine, working with a compassionate and caring heart for her customers and co-workers. She is detail oriented and determined to always make sure everything is done correctly.”
Chandalyn Jenkins, Retail Office Manager, Longview Pine Tree
“Cyndy is that co-worker everyone loves to work with. She is very personable and has a willingness to work with employees as well as our customers. She is definitely an asset to Austin Bank and I am pleased to have her as a member of the Pine Tree staff.”
Gay Higdon, Senior Vice President/Retail Market Manager, Longview Oak Forest
“Cyndy is an amazing employee and we miss her dearly in Loan Operations. She is kind, caring, and very funny – just a joy to be around. She is very deserving of this honor because she is a true Austin ‘Star’.”
Lisa Sampson, Senior Vice President/Loan Operations Manager, Longview Greggton
