Star of the Month - July 2023 - Julian Mierop

This month’s Star is an employee that coworkers like to see coming their way. Committed to helping his team succeed and to do well by his customers, he spreads his positive attitude and commitment to success with all he encounters. For these reasons, and others below, we are honored to name Julian Mierop as our July 2023 Star of the
Month.

Julian currently serves as a customer service representative (CSR) in our Gladewater location. He began his career with the bank as a teller at the Marshall office in 2020, moving to the CSR role in Longview Oak Forest in November 2021 before transferring to Gladewater. Julian strives daily to add to his knowledge and experience in order to continue his career growth. “His sales and service skills set an example for all to follow,” shares Lisa Emmons, SVP/eBanking Manager, in Jacksonville. “He is willing to help and train others, performing his duties with a smile and exuding confidence to his customers.”

Julian’s outgoing personality allows him to make personal connections with all the customers he meets. Gay Higdon, SVP/Retail Market Manager, comments, “His patience and friendliness with our customers and employees make Julian a friend to many. He has proven to be a top notch goal-reacher with the premium debit cards and helps offices meet their goals by using his skills to explain the benefits of the cards to them.” Julian is committed to doing his job well and being successful in all he does.

A graduate of Texas Early College High School and Panola College, Julian resides in Marshall with his pets Ruger, Salem, Schatzi and Phoenix. A basketball fan, he also enjoys playing golf, fishing and attending Cypress Valley Bible Church where he is a small group leader for 8th grade boys. He also currently serves as a mentor in the bank’s mentorship program for new employees.
