Star of the Month - August 2024 - Jeri Hein

The position of a bank teller is challenging even when you have the advantage of a home office and the support of a specific team. Add on top of that the facets of working in different environments, with different people, for a different set of customers every day, and it becomes exponentially more difficult. This month’s Star is one of our regional floater tellers, and balances all that is expected of her with grace and charm, plus an eagerness to continuously learn and better herself. We are proud to introduce you to Jeri Hein, Floater Teller for the North region, and our August Star of the Month.

Jeri came to Austin Bank in 2022 with several years of previous experience from 1st Convenience Bank and BTH Bank. During her tenure, she has served as a floater teller traveling between the locations in our North region to help fill in when employees are out sick or on vacation. Jeri is professional and adaptable, able to walk into any office she is assigned for the day and take care of business for the customers she encounters. She strives to go above and beyond to help not only her customers, but her coworkers as well, doing it all with a positive and encouraging attitude. Jeri has a passion for her role and it is evidenced in the way she enjoys her work and exerts her best efforts irrespective of the task assigned.

A joy to have in the office, Jeri always looks at a new project as an exciting adventure and views unfavorable situations as a challenge to improve herself. She consistently works for the greater good of every office she is in, and is always striving to find opportunities to grow professionally or learn a new set of skills. One to constantly look for the best in others, Jeri shares from her knowledge and experience as a mentor to new bank employees.

Jeri is currently engaged to Aaron ‘A.J.’ Croley and resides in Kilgore. We’re not quite sure how deep her love of coffee goes, but it must be extensive as everyone we checked with noted she was an “avid” coffee drinker. In addition to coffee, Jeri enjoys cats (and has several), reading, traveling and pursuing outdoor adventures.
