An essential part of a successful work team rendering high output performance are individuals who take ownership of their work – their role within the team. This is an indicator of employee engagement, corporate morale and a positive work culture. Our April Star has been nominated for her ability to take the reins of a project and implement it effectively, resulting in increased production of the office as a whole. We are proud to recognize Diana Rubio, Customer Service Representative, for her actions and name her our April Star of the Month.
While Diana’s official title is Customer Service Representative in the bank’s Jacksonville South office, she has also assumed the role of Chief Fun Agent for the location. As such, she is responsible for motivating the office staff in the promotion of premium debit cards and referred account openings. Since taking on this task, the office has met or exceeded their goals each month under Diana’s leadership. She will often use her creativity utilizing a game or competition to motivate the staff to meet their objectives. With an industry-wide emphasis on increasing new deposit accounts, many of her successful ideas have been shared with other bank offices and even outside of the bank by our vendor partner.
Diana exudes positivity and a calm demeanor, making her a favorite of both employees and customers alike. Her knowledge and guidance have enabled her to be a top producer in new accounts year over year. She is motivated to consistently put forth her best effort, and is invested in the outcome – whether that be the best account choice for her customers or the success of her team as a whole. Diana desires to make a positive impact on those around her and has been successful in this endeavor as she is willing to take on any responsibility to help.
A member of the Austin Bank team since 2012, Diana started as a teller before moving to her current role in 2020. In addition to her duties as a customer service representative and Chief Fun Agent, Diana also mentors new employees through the bank’s mentorship program. She is a graduate of New Summerfield High School. Outside of the office, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family, including her three children – Allison, Myla and Mateo. They live in Jacksonville and attend Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
“Diana takes great care to involve everyone on the Jacksonville South team in meeting the office goals. She models teamwork daily, and is always ready to help in any way needed – with a smile on her face.”
Lisa Emmons, Senior Vice President/Director of Digital Banking, Jacksonville
“Diana is a team player who impresses me every day with her positive outlook and willingness to go above and beyond for all customers and her bank family. She strives for excellence in all she does and is a great asset to Austin Bank.”
Jessica Guerrero, Assistant Vice President/Retail Office Manager, Jacksonville South
“Diana is kind and helpful to all customers and coworkers. She takes pride in her work and is always willing to help wherever she is needed. I am blessed to have her on my team and she is very deserving of the Star recognition.”
