April 2022 - Star of the Month - Loren Brooks

A positive and enthusiastic attitude is a critical component of workplace success.  Someone who not only demonstrates a positive attitude and an eagerness to tackle tasks, but also provides good customer service, resolves conflict effectively and works productively with others is not just one you want on your team, but one you want leading a team.  Each of these qualities can be attributed to this month’s Star, and we are pleased to introduce you to Loren Brooks, Retail Office Manager in our Tyler Med Center office.  Congratulations on your recognition, Loren, as our April Star of the Month!

Loren joined the Austin Bank team at the Tyler West Loop location in October 2019 as the Teller Operations Supervisor.  She brought with her nine previous years of banking experience having served as a senior relationship banker at a local bank.  Quickly displaying all she had to offer, Loren earned a promotion to her current position in early 2021.  “Loren continuously has a positive, upbeat spirit and you can hear her smile whenever you speak with her over the phone,” shares Margaret Mullinnix, SVP/Retail Market Manager for Smith County.  “She is always one of the first to step up and say, ‘I can do that.’”  Approaching customers proactively to offer assistance and tackling tasks and projects when there is down time, Loren sets a wonderful example for her team, leading with confidence and grace.  Her enthusiasm is contagious, generating a positive, exciting and vibrant atmosphere in the office.

Loren is a resident of Tyler and has one son, Riley.  An active member of her community, she volunteers her time serving the Tyler Civic Theater as well as the Title 1 Parent Association of Tyler ISD.  She is a member of Faith Family Christian Church and enjoys attending rodeos to support her father’s participation.  One of her favorite ways to unwind is spending the weekend shopping in Dallas.
