November 2018 - Star of the Month - Scott Moseley

by Austin Bank 14. November 2018 16:17

Our November Star is celebrating 20 years of tenure with Austin Bank, demonstrating his loyalty and commitment to the Austin Bank team.  These qualities in conjunction with several others – high standards of ethics, positive attitude, community involvement and dedication to the Bank’s core values – have earned his nomination for Star of the Month.  Please join us in congratulating Scott Moseley, VP/Location President in Van, on this honor.

Scott joined the Austin Bank team in 1998 as a Loan Officer.  He worked his way up into management working first as the Branch Manager, and becoming Location President in 2005.  Kelly Tunnell, SVP/Retail Market Manager, shares, “Scott takes great pride in his position with the Bank and works diligently to serve the customers, always keeping their best interest in mind.”  He is very much a team player, willing to help with all lending and retail transactions.  He processes Teller work through the image capture machine, helps with dual control for night deposits and any other duty involved with opening, closing or running the office.

Scott chooses to take a hands-on approach guaranteeing customers receive excellent service and resolutions for all issues in a timely manner.  He has, on numerous occasions, taken paperwork to a customer’s residence or place of business in order to obtain signatures allowing the customer to have little or no disruption to their daily routine.  In addition, he receives texts, phone calls and emails from customers over the weekend or outside of business hours providing answers for questions on loans, help with debit card access and general account questions or circumstances.

As esteemed as he is in the workplace, Scott is equally as respected in his community.  His involvement with numerous organizations including the Van Chamber of Commerce, Van Community Ministries and the Legacy Learning Center demonstrates his desire to help and enrich the lives of those around him.  He has also worked with the local Kiwanis Club and the Van Economic Development Council.

Scott and his wife, Tressia, are long-time residents of Van.  They have four children – two sons and two daughters – and three grandchildren.  Scott enjoys ranching and farming, football, and travelling – especially to the beach.  His personality and somewhat dry sense of humor make the workplace a fun environment, and it is said he can make you laugh in most any circumstance.  Grand Saline VP and Location President, Claudia Rogers, adds “Scott and I started to work for the Austin Bank family 20 years ago.  I have enjoyed his friendship and sense of humor over the years.  He is truly an asset to the Bank and his community.”

“Scott always goes the extra mile when providing excellent service to our customers.  He is level-headed, and I can always count on him to step up and get things accomplished.  I am proud that he is on our team.”

Kent Bryson, SVP/Regional President, Kilgore

“Scott is the best Location President.  He is never too busy for his customers or employees.  He is a joy to work with, and I only wish our professional paths had crossed earlier.”

Nancy Wilson, AVP/Retail Office Manager, Van

“Scott is very much a ‘team-player’ and takes a personal role in the day-to-day activities to ensure the Van office runs smoothly and efficiently.”

Kelly Tunnell, SVP/Retail Market Manager, Van
